HOUSTON -

Two students were injured in an accident involving a Houston ISD school bus Thursday morning.

It happened on the 610 West Loop near the Westpark exit around 7:30 a.m.

Sky 2 showed aerials of several vehicles and the school bus pulled over on the highway.

HISD said seven students were on the bus when the crash occurred.

The district said two of the students were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for minor injuries. The two victims attend M.C. Williams Middle School.

Two right mainlanes and a shoulder lane were closed while emergency crews are on scene, but all lanes reopened around 9 a.m.
