He was a banker by trade, as well as a passionate magician known as The Card Shark.

Stallings performed free shows for charities.

According to his website, he had been a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians since 1989.

His friends said his heart was even bigger than his showmanship.

Last year, he entertained families at the Christmas party for the Oyster Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

"He just had a real big heart and was so generous," fire Chief Mark Westmoreland said. "He's the type of person that's real hard to find."

At this time, Channel 2 has not heard back from the Texas Department of Public Safety about what led to the crash that killed Stallings.
