Known gang member, sex offender arrested in Houston thanks to tip

AUSTIN, Texas – Christopher Soloya Jr. is in custody after being captured on July 21 in Houston.

He was added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list earlier this month after he violated his parole and failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements, according to police.

A cash reward up to $3,000 will be paid after information leading to his capture was provided through a tip.

Soloya, 30, who is a Tango Blast Houstone gang member, has ties to the Houston area - particularly Pasadena, according to police.

In June 2007, Soloya was arrested after he burglarized a woman's apartment with the intent to commit a sexual assault, according to authorities. He was convicted of burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit another felony. He served time in prison.
