Dispatchers in Tennessee say they somehow received an emergency call from Texas.

The caller was a woman struggling to breathe in Kingwood. But the call did not go to the Harris County Emergency Center. It went to Franklin, Tennessee, located more than 750 miles away.

Officials in Tennessee said the call was routed incorrectly because her mailing address on her internet-based phone service was not updated when she moved to Texas from Tennessee.

Emergency dispatchers said emergency calls should always be routed to the nearest 911 center. They said it's impossible to fully investigate what happened here without either the woman's address or phone number.

The woman eventually got the help she needed.
