KATY – A Katy ISD student was hit by a car while walking home from school Thursday afternoon.
Katy ISD officials said a Morton Ranch Junior High student was crossing Mason Road just before 3 p.m. when they were hit by a car.

The student was not critically injured, but was taken to a local hospital to get checked out.
