The Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force recovered a large sum of drugs after a traffic stop.

It happened July 1 at Highway 59 and FM 2218 in Rosenberg.

Authorities said they stopped a tractor-trailer rig for a traffic violation when an officer's K-9 partner named Rik found 48 bundles of cocaine. Officials say the narcotics were hidden in two suitcases in the trailer.

The cocaine weighed about 115 pounds and has a street value of $1,464,400 according to authorities.

Police say charges are pending further investigation.
