When Moore told Williams to get down, Williams refused and became belligerent, authorities said.

Police said Williams turned to hide his right hand from the officer's sight, so Moore deployed Ziko, who locked on to Williams' leg.

According to police, Williams began to strike Ziko on the head and tried to kick and push him off.

When Williams still refused to surrender and follow orders, Moore deployed his Taser, police said.

Williams was treated for a laceration on his leg. He was released to deputies and charged with burglary of a building and interfering with a police service animal.

Ziko did not suffer any injuries during the struggle.
