HOUSTON – Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson challenged Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt to the 22 Pushup Challenge to raise awareness of the 22 American veterans who commit suicide daily.
Johnson was called out by actor Chris Pratt. Then Johnson challenged Watt and actor Kevin Hart.
Watt accepted and asked Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, Jim Parsons, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Justin Timberlake to take the challenge.
"We just want to raise awareness and let you know that we are thinking about you," Watt said of veterans. "They shouldn't have to face it alone."
People all over the country can participate in the pushup challenge. According to 22.kill.com, the goal is to reach 22 million pushups "to honor those who serve and raise awareness for veteran suicide prevention through education and empowerment."
