Investigators: Student nearly grabbed while walking to school

Sheldon ISD: Attack happened near C.E. King High School

HOUSTON – A high-school student was almost grabbed while walking to a northeast Harris County campus, school district officials said.

Sheldon Independent School District officials said the incident happened as the 10th-grade student was walking to C.E. King High School, 8540 C.E. King Parkway, on Monday morning.

School district officials said a man tried to grab the girl's arm as she walked on Tidwell near C.E. King Parkway. She was able to get away unharmed, officials said.

The incident was reported to the Harris County Precinct 3 Constable's Office.

The man was described as Hispanic and 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt and had a mask covering his nose and mouth.
