Investigators: Nearly $300K worth of drugs found in home

5 men charged with aggravated possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance

PORTER, Texas – Five men were arrested after nearly $300,000 worth of drugs were found in a home in Porter, officials said.

Deputies in the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit worked with the Houston Police Department Narcotics team and the Houston DEA to search a home in the 23600 block of Laura Lane on Friday.

Authorities said five people were arrested in the drug raid. Aroldo David Aguilar, 67, of McAllen; Angel Luis Vasquez, 37, of McAllen; Rolando Gutierrez, 45, of Brownsville; Jose Domingo Vazquez, 40, of Donna; and Lauro Grimaldo Rincon, 69, of Mercedes, were all charged with aggravated possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Authorities said they seized 10 kilograms of cocaine and other items used in illegal substance trafficking.

The estimated wholesale value of the drugs is $28,500 per kilogram, bringing the total estimated worth to $285,000.
