Flo Rida delivers on uniform promise for local football team

HOUSTON – Three weeks ago, all 110 members of the Friendswood Beast Mode Junior Football team were left broken-hearted.

Their hopes for brand new team uniforms were dashed after an unscrupulous uniform vendor from Georgia took $12,000 from the team with the promise of delivering new uniforms.

That vendor took the team's money, but never delivered anything.

Thursday, those kids got the surprise of a lifetime as a company called Strong Arm Apparel, a company owned by international rap star Flo Rida, handed them all brand new uniforms, 110 in all, absolutely free.

It was a gift from Flo Rida himself.

Channel 2’s Bill Spencer has been covering the story from day one and brought you the entire event live on the 6pm news.
