HOUSTON -

Update those Instagram apps!

From the beginning, Intagram, a popular social media photo sharing platform, has never allowed private messaging. Today, however, they announced a new feature called 'Instagram Direct.'

According to the Instagram blog, the Instagram community has grown to over 150 million people all over the globe.

They recognized that there are, often, times in our lives that we want to share a photo with a loved one in private. Starting today, you can send a photo or video in a direct message to your Instagram friends.
