Information wanted in man's death originally thought to be result of hit-and-run

HOUSTON – Police are looking for the person responsible for killing a man back in December.

Houston police say officers were called to the 900 block of Normandy on the city's east side for what appeared to be a hit-and-run accident around 7 p.m. on Dec. 20, 2013.

Police originally believed the victim, identified as Stephen Belle, had been hit by a car while on his bicycle.

Officials say an autopsy revealed that his death was caused by being hit by a car.

While police continue this homicide investigation, they ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

Crime Stoppers will offer up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
