Humble store owner shoots drunken man, police say

HUMBLE, Texas – The owner of a store in Humble shot a drunken man in the stomach Monday, according to police.

The shooting was reported at 11:24 p.m. at 33 W. Main St.

Humble police said the intoxicated man got into an argument with the store owner. They said that during the argument, the store owner fired a shot, hitting the drunken man in the stomach.

The injured man was taken to Ben Taub Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.

It was not immediately clear if charges would be filed in the case.
