Houston police said Procter and her boyfriend, Michael Blake Curry, 30, went to a friend's apartment in the 6400 block of Bankside about 1:30 p.m.

The couple got into an argument that led to a physical fight, police said.

Curry ran out of the apartment holding his neck and collapsed on a sidewalk, investigators said. He died at the scene.

Police said witnesses saw Procter run out of the apartment and then out of the complex.

Procter was arrested in southwest Houston several hours later.

Autopsy results will determine if the charge against Procter will be upgraded.
