HPD: Woman bites sister's nose off

HOUSTON – A woman has been accused of biting off her sister's nose.

Houston police said Lluvia Rodriguez, 29, got into an argument with her husband after the couple and her sister, Ivon Rodriguez, spent the night of July 14 out at clubs.

Detectives said Ivon Rodriguez tried to intervene in the argument and Lluvia Rodriguez bit her nose off.

Ivon Rodriguez was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital, where doctors were able to reattach her nose and save it.

Lluvia Rodriguez was arrested and charged with aggravated assault of a family member. She is being held in the Harris County Jail without bond.

Ivon Rodriguez did not want to show her face on Monday. She said she isn't angry with her sister any more, but she also does not want her to be released from jail.
