HOUSTON - Two people accused of breaking into a northeast Houston convenience story early Tuesday morning are in police custody.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on Homestead near Hallshire.
Houston police said the two suspects used a sledgehammer to break into the store's roof.
Officials said the robbers smashed the store's surveillance recording, but also set off the alarm. Houston police officers responded within minutes.
Police said one suspect was caught in the store, while the other was taken into custody on the roof.
