HPD: Robbery victim shot 2 suspects in Fiesta parking lot

HOUSTON – Police are investigating a fatal shooting outside of a northeast Houston grocery store.

Houston police said it all started when a victim was robbed by two suspects in the parking lot of the Fiesta Mart located in the 14000 block of Jensen near the Eastex Freeway around 10:15 a.m. Thursday.

Police say three people and two guns were involved.

According to police, one person is dead, and one was sent downtown to be interviewed by investigators.

Another person was shot in the arm and taken to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital for his injuries.

Investigators say a man working security for Fiesta grabbed the suspect, who was taken downtown, and held him until police arrived.

Investigators do not believe the security guard fired his weapon or was involved in any way.

Police say they don't know who's a suspect and who's a victim.

However, Police believe the three people met at Fiesta.

Police have not released any other details at this time.
