Police arrested Gonzalez Thursday at his apartment near the 3000 block of Memorial Court.

Houston’s acting chief of police issued an officer-safety alert the day after his arrest because she said Gonzalez threatened to not only kill his wife, but his fellow police officers and then himself.

The incident followed Gonzalez’s DWI arrest in July,. He was relieved of his duties while the department conducted an internal affairs investigation.
