HOUSTON – A missing 4-year-old boy was found safe in northeast Houston, police said Tuesday morning.
George Ward disappeared Monday from the 1100 block of Grove Court and Green Street. He was reported missing about 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.
"We've got conflicting stories throughout the night on this," Officer Mario Robau said. "There is not one story we can go on. From the start, we just had nothing concrete."
Police said he was found at a relative's home. That relative saw the missing person report and called police, officials said.
After George was found, his father told KPRC Local 2 that he didn't have any comment and his mother closed the door.
The circumstances behind his disappearance are still under investigation.
Child Protective Services is also investigating.
