Houston police said an officer tried to stop Wilson in The Heights about 5 p.m. Thursday because he was driving a car that had been reported stolen.

Willson refused to stop and led officers on a chase, investigators said.

Detectives said Willson eventually stopped the car and ran into a wooded area. Officers said they called for a K-9 unit to come out and help in their search for Willson.

A police dog found Willson in the woods, and Willson hit and kicked it, investigators said.

Willson was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail with bond set at $10,000.
