HOUSTON – A little girl drowned at a home in southwest Houston on Friday, investigators said.
Houston ambulances were sent to a home on Windswept near Stoney Brook about 4:30 p.m.
Police said the girl's father didn't think his daughter was anywhere near their pool while he was doing yard work outside the home. When he went to check on his daughter who he thought was inside their home, she was found at the bottom of the pool.
Across town, an 8-month-old baby was in the intensive care unit at Memorial Herman Hospital after he nearly drowned in a bathtub. The baby was in the tub with his 2-year-old sibling. The baby was found unresponsive and rushed to the hospital.
