HOUSTON -

A man accused of terrorizing his own neighbor in an afternoon burglary is in police custody.

Houston police arrested Ruben Linares, as he crawled out of a bedroom window at a home on Moses near Bringhurst in Northeast Houston. Investigators say the homeowner arrived at her house around 3:40 Wednesday afternoon, to find it in disarray.

Investigators say as the woman was walking in, she heard an unfamiliar voice say "Don't come back here, I have a gun." A nearby neighbor saw the commotion and flagged down a passing patrol officer.

Investigators tell Local 2 that Linares lives three houses down from the house that he was caught leaving when he was arrested.
