HPD: Armed robbers on the loose after striking bank near Memorial City Mall

HOUSTON - Houston police are searching for two armed men who allegedly robbed a bank near Memorial City Mall Tuesday morning.

It happened at the Frost Memorial Financial Center in the 9800 block of Katy Freeway and Memorial City Way.

Police said two men wearing masks entered the bank around 10:30 a.m.  One was armed with a black revolver and the other was armed with a silver pistol.  They held up the bank, then fled out the back door and hopped into a dark-colored sedan.

No one was physically hurt.

Witnesses said the robber with the black revolver appeared to be in his 20s, 6 feet tall and about 190 to 220 pounds.  He was wearing a white mask, dark shirt and red sweat pants.

The robber with the silver pistol appeared to be in his 20s, was 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 200 and 220 pounds.  He was wearing a blue hoodie and dark sweat pants.
