HPD: Armed men rob north Houston pharmacy of cash, pain pills

HOUSTON – Houston police need your help finding three men who they say barged into a pharmacy and stole cash, pain pills and a gun.

Officers say at around 10:15 a.m. Thursday, three armed men wearing hoodies and painter's masks stormed into the Little York Pharmacy and held the employees at gunpoint. The suspects pushed the clerks to the ground and demanded cash and pain pills. They also stole a gun from inside the pharmacy's safe.

Police say the suspects jumped into a silver Jeep they had stolen earlier in the morning from an apartment complex in the 14400 block of Ella and sped off.

They drove a block away to Frels Street where there was another car waiting for them. They dumped the Jeep and sped off in the other vehicle.

Officers say the takeover-style robbery is similar to a bank robbery last week on West 43rd Street. Officers are checking to see if the bank robbery is related to this robbery.

Police are trying to access the pharmacy's surveillance video to see if that will help them track down the men.
