HOUSTON – Four people were taken into custody after police said they stole a pickup from an apartment complex and led officers on a chase.
A woman who lives in the North Post Oak Lofts on North Post Oak Road saw the crooks breaking into the truck around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday and called 911.

Police said she described the vehicle, and an officer spotted the pickup on the Katy Freeway near Antoine Drive.
He attempted to pull the driver over, investigators said, but the suspects sped off to T.C. Jester Boulevard, where they gave up and pulled into an Exxon station.
The four people inside the truck were taken into custody; it's not clear what charges they face.
