HPD: 4 accused of painting graffiti on Dollar Store

HOUSTON – Four people were arrested in north Houston early Monday, accused of painting graffiti at a shopping center.

Houston police said four males were tagging a Dollar Store in the 600 block of West Calvacade near Airline shortly after 4 a.m. when an officer spotted them.

Three were apprehended at the scene and a fourth was arrested a few hours later. Officers said one of the suspects had paint covering his hands and confessed.

Police said the suspects have spray-painted other businesses with the name they call themselves -- "Zomb." Investigators said the group is not a gang, but wanted to get caught to gain attention.

The suspects' names were not released.
