HOUSTON -

Police say two men were wounded in a shooting at a southwest Houston apartment building.

Houston police say officers responded to the shooting around 2:15 a.m. Thursday at the Sunridge Villas apartments on Westpark near Gessner.

Houston police say a dark-colored pickup truck pulled up the apartments and stopped in front of another. Someone inside the pickup started shooting at the Chrysler 300.

When the two men in their apartment went to look out their window to see what was going on, police say the shooter fired the gun at them.

Officials say upon arrival the truck was gone and they found a man with a gunshot wound to the back side. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in stable condition.

Another man who had been shot in the leg drove himself to West Houston Medical Center, according to authorities.
