HOUSTON -

The now-retired shuttle replica at the Johnson Space Center has a new name.

A ceremony was held Saturday as the winner of the shuttle naming contest unveiled the freshly-painted moniker, Independence.

Timothy Judd's suggestion was chosen from more than 10,000 entries in the state-wide naming contest.

As part of the grand prize, Judd was given a VIP tour along with a behind the scenes experience at the Space Center.

The state of the art space shuttle attraction is set to open up in 2015.
