Houston's First Presbyterian Church to vote on its future

HOUSTON – One of the oldest congregations in Houston will vote this weekend to decide on its future.

The First Presbyterian Church, which is 175 years old, is asking its members to vote on whether to stay affiliated with the national Presbyterian Church USA, or move to a more conservative denomination.

It also allows individual congregations to decide if they will accept gays into the ministry.

The vote will take place on Sunday.
