HOUSTON -

The Houston Zoo is hosting their first ever white elephant sale.

This is your chance to land some very unique items from the zoo, form hundreds of books to lawn care equipment.

Over the past month zoo employees searched high and low for items, some even donating their own personal keepsakes.

The goal is to raise $250,000.

Brian Hill, the zoo's spokesperson said, "This is going to benefit elephant conversation. The zoo is on a campaign here moving into the fall, and going up into the Conservation Gala in October. Raising over a quarter of a million dollars to fight elephant poaching in Africa."

The white elephant sale will start a t 8 a.m. on Saturday and run through 12 p.m.
