HOUSTON – The U.S. Sailing Team had a sendoff party at the Houston Yacht Club on Wednesday.
Fourteen athletes who earned their place on the team left the club around 5:15 p.m.
At the event, attendees met members of the current and past teams.
The party also featured a public screening of "Uncharted Waters," a full-length documentary on what it takes to represent the United States as a member of its sailing team.
Uncharted Waters is the result of a two-year collaboration with the sailing team and Sunbrella.
