Houston woman shares heartwarming report of kindness toward Fulshear officer

HOUSTON – A Houston woman tried to pay for a Fulshear police officer’s dinner Wednesday night, but learned she wasn’t the first to offer.

In fact, by the time the Houston Life producer tried to pay for the officer’s dinner, the waitress told her four other people had already offered.

It all happened at Texas Borders Bar and Grill on FM 1093 in Richmond.

Heather Kansteiner wrote this on her Facebook page: “It's a good feeling when you see a police officer eating out and ask the waitress if she can add his meal to your ticket, and she responds that four other people have already asked to do that...”

The private post was liked by several of her friends. One person wrote, "That is so cool!"

“I am really proud of our community,” Kansteiner told KPRC 2. “It's nice to see people supporting law enforcement like this. I've heard about random acts of kindness happening in other places, but to see it in my own community made me really happy. It's comforting to know we weren't the only ones who wanted to do something nice for someone else.”
