Houston students take part in MLK oratory competition

HOUSTON - A group of Houston fourth and fifth grade students celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by taking part in Friday's 18th annual Gardere MLK Jr. Oratory Competition.

Students presented original speeches answering the question: If Dr. King were speaking at a march on Washington today, what would he say?

On Monday, the nation will honor the civil rights leader for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. King would have been 85 years old on January 15.
