Baltazar’s image was one of the 18 chosen to represent the United States in the World Photographic Cup.
Baltazar’s eye-catching photography is mainly of weddings and portraits. All of her 2016 award-winning photos were of real clients on location.
“There’s something truly soulful about capturing that essence and then sharing it with a client,” Baltazar said. “It’s a privilege to preserve memories and create a legacy for clients that will last from a single photo.”
In the wedding category of the World Photographic Cup, her image was one out of the three to be represented by the United States.
"The World Photographic Cup is unlike any other photographic competition in that it not only involves the best professional photographers from around the world, but in true Olympic style, it offers nations the chance to compete against each other," said Professional Photographers of America CEO David Trust.
Baltazar will be leaving Houston and traveling to Yokahama, Japan, to compete in the 4th annual World Photographic Cup.
In 2016, she was one of only 61 platinum photographers of the year. Nearly 5,700 entries were submitted.
