HOUSTON -

A Houston pastor is accused of sexually assaulting one of his foster children.

Authorities said Darryl Houston, 47, is charged with three counts of sexually assaulting a child under 17 years of age.

According to court documents, a 14-year-old girl told authorities that Houston had sex with her on multiple occasions and promised her they had a future together.

The alleged sexual encounters happened at a home on Bicentennial Court where Houston lived with his foster children and other family members.

KPRC Local 2 stopped by the home Monday afternoon, but it was empty and in the process of being renovated.

A neighbor, who moved in two months ago, said she never saw anything but says her heart breaks for the young girl.

"I've worked with young children all my life, so I see it and it breaks my heart and to live this close to it is really frightening," said Aundrea Branham.

Child Protective Services has removed all the foster children from Houston's home.

The alleged victims and her siblings are now living with relatives out of state.

A CPS spokeswoman says it contracted with the agency, Circles of Care, which was responsible for conducting a background check and certifying Houston to be a foster parent.

KPRC Local 2 called both the Houston and Corpus Christi offices of Circles of Care for comment, but no one returned our calls.

Houston is being held at the Harris County Jail.
