Houston man killed in Taliban attack

Dario Lorenzetti was working in Afghanistan

HOUSTON – A Houston man working in Afghanistan was killed when a Taliban suicide bomber blew himself up, officials said.

Family members of Dario Lorenzetti said he was among six people killed Saturday morning when the bomb went off.

Lorenzetti worked for the Department of Defense. He grew up in Dallas, but moved his family to Houston. He was scheduled to return home from his work abroad in December, but now family members said his wife is on her way to receive her husband's body.

He leaves behind a wife and three young daughters. His funeral will be held in Dallas.
