TOMBALL, Texas – The Houston man accused of using a rock to smash his way into nine Tomball businesses is behind bars.
Tomball police say the smash-and-grab burglaries took place over the past several weeks.

Officials said after using a rock to smash the front windows and doors of the businesses, the man would take cash and small objects that he could easily carry away.
Early Wednesday morning Tomball police said officers responded to an alarm at Celaya Meat Market on Tomball Parkway. Â
As they were at the scene, police located a vehicle nearby that matched the description of the car used in similar burglaries.
When the suspect returned to the vehicle, he was taken into custody.
Police identified the man as 24-year-old Troy Williams.
Tomball police said Williams confessed to the burglary at the meat market, in addition to the other burglaries.
He was charged with multiple felony counts of burglary of a building.Â
