Houston launches annual Green Office Challenge

City aims to help businesses improve environment

HOUSTON – The city of Houston has launched its annual program to recognize environmentally conscious businesses and buildings in the community.

The 2016 Houston Green Office Challenge is a 10-week voluntary program where building owners, property managers, management districts and tenants can get training and resources to save money and help improve the environment.

The city will offer participants workshops, training and networking opportunities in categories like energy efficiency, water conservation and transportation.

Each activity can earn participants points. At the end of the program, those who perform best are rewarded with prizes.
