HOUSTON – The Houston Firefighters' Union Local 341 began collective bargaining with the city of Houston Friday.
The union is negotiating salary, staffing and working conditions.

Friday's part of the negotiations were closed to the public, but there will be some public meetings announced at a later time.
No word on how long the negotiations will take.
