HOUSTON - A family is safe after an early morning house fire.
Fire officials said the fire broke out a home on Sidney at Ward in southeast Houston on 5:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities said the family was asleep with they woke up and smelled smoke. They were able to evacuate the house quickly and safely. No injuries were reported.
The Houston Fire Department said the fire started in the living room. The department's Arson unit is investigating the fire's cause.
