Houston dance school heads to NYC to perform on 'America's Got Talent'

The Mitsi Dance School performs live next week

HOUSTON – If you love NBC's "America's Got Talent," there's another reason to watch because Houston has a strong contender.

Local 2 was at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport as the Mitsi Dance School dancers left for New York City Tuesday morning.

"I just don't know how to feel, it's so big I can't feel anything right now," said Kathie Lin.

The 20 girls wowed the "America's Got Talent" judges, flying through the first round and bypassing the Las Vegas competition. They are now gearing up to perform live on the show at the historic Radio City Music Hall next week.

"We are so excited to be a part of this amazing production," said Janie Yao.

The episode with the Mitsi Dance School girls airs on KPRC on Tuesday, August 6 at 8 p.m.

Best of luck girls!
