Houston-based Coast Guardsman wins award

WASHINGTON - A Coast Guardsman with the Coast Guard Air Station Houston was the 2013 Coast Guard Enlisted Person of the Year.

Petty Officer 1st Class Travis Cutler, an avionics electrical technician, was formally recognized Friday at a ceremony in Washington D.C.

Cutler was meritoriously advanced to the rank of chief petty officer because he earned the accolade. He is a native of Incline Village, Nevada.
