Houston actor starred in Super Bowl commercial

HOUSTON – Without a doubt, the fan favorite of Sunday's Super Bowl ads was the Budweiser Clydesdale commercial. The ad was done in true Texas style, since the actor in it calls the Houston area home.

Don Jeanes graduated from Humble High School and Texas State University in San Marcos.

"Every day was the best day of my life," said Jeanes. "I don't know about you, but how often do you get to hug a Clydesdale? That is very cool."

Jeanes said he trained with the Budweiser Clydesdale horses for about a day and a half and developed a special bond with the amazing animals.

"I think the story itself is touching," said Scott Allen, principal of the High School For the Performing and Visual Arts and Jeanes' former drama teacher. "You get a little teary-eyed, but I think the fact that that's my baby, you're even doubly proud."

Jeanes' former lead theatre firector and High School For The Performing and Visual Arts lead counselor, Travis Springfield, also said he is proud of Jeanes.

"He's a good kid," said Springfield. "Always kind to his fellow classmates. It's nice when someone puts the work in and gets the pay off."
