House heavily damaged after hit by car

Deputies: Woman driving at high-rate of speed

HOUSTON – A northwest Harris County home sustains a lot of damage after it was hit by a car.

Investigators said a woman lost control of her car around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on Greenhouse Road near W. Little York Road.

Harris County sheriff's deputies believe the woman was going at a high rate of speed when her car left the road.

She ended up crashing into the kitchen area of the home.

A man and his wife were asleep when they heard the car crash into the home.

They said they called 911 when they saw the woman wandering in the back yard of their home.

The homeowner said he was just glad that the car did not crash into their bedroom, where they would have probably suffered serious injuries.

No one was hurt but the house will need extensive repairs.

Detectives have not released any identifying information about the driver.
