A house fire in northwest Houston is under investigation, according to the Houston Fire Department.

Officials say firefighters responded to the house on Nyoka near Okanella around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Upon arrival, firefighters found flames and smoke coming from the one-story house.

Fire crews were able to quickly put out the flames, but the structure was completely gutted by the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Officials say no one was in the house at the time of the fire. They believe it may have been vacant.

Arson officials are investigating what caused the fire to start.
