Homeowner found dead in driveway

HOUSTON – A homeowner was found dead in his northeast Houston driveway Tuesday.

Houston police said the body of the 57-year-old man was found in the 4300 block of Wayne near Gregory at 7 a.m. He appeared to have been bludgeoned to death and possibly stabbed, officers said.

Investigators want to talk to a woman and a man who were staying at the house with the homeowner. Officials said the victim was letting a female friend stay there and she brought in another male. They are missing and considered "persons of interest," officials said.

The victim's name was not released.
