HOUSTON - Deputies are continuing to search for the driver of a car that hit and killed a teenager Monday night.
Nicole Ruekwe, 14, was crossing Barker Cypress Road near the intersection of River Sage when deputies said she was hit by a motorist who did not stop and render help.
Ruekwe was crossing in an area that is without artificial lighting and is very dark, deputies said. This incident happened during a heavy rain storm.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, it appears that Ruekwe may have been hit by several other vehicles, none of which stopped.
