HOUSTON – In an effort to help veterans reenter the workforce, NBC and KPRC Local 2 have teamed up to bring Hiring Our Heroes job fairs to Houston.
A job fair is being held on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Minute Maid Park, 501 Crawford Street. Dozens of companies will be on hand, officials said.

General Electric will offer one-on-one resume writing/mentoring sessions from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Job seekers can pre-register before the event.
The unemployment rate for veterans is 12.1 percent, so any help is welcome.
The next job fair for veterans and their spouses will be held in Houston on Dec. 6.
