High school evacuated after bomb threat

HOUSTON – An east Houston high school was evacuated Friday morning after a bomb threat.

Wheatley High School, 4801 Providence, was evacuated shortly before 11 a.m.

The Houston Fire Department, HPD and HISD's police department were sent to the scene and bomb-sniffing dogs searched the school. Officials said nothing was found and the all-clear was given.

Students were allowed back to class by 11:30 a.m.

No other information was provided about the threat.
